For one of our Dynamics 365 initiatives, we are looking for a Senior Technical Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer with strong experience in Dynamics 365 Sales and Project Operations. This role will primarily support the Dutch business unit, with the assignment running until the end of this year.
Role description
As a Senior Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys Consultant, you act as a trusted expert for customer engagement and marketing automation solutions. You combine deep functional knowledge of Customer Insights – Journeys with strong technical understanding and advisory skills, enabling teams to design and deliver high-quality, scalable customer journeys across markets.
You will work in international, agile teams and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams.
Key responsibilities
- Acting as a subject-matter expert for Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys
- Analyzing complex customer, marketing, and business requirements across multiple countries
- Translating requirements into scalable customer engagement and journey solutions
- Designing, configuring, and optimizing real-time customer journeys
- Designing, configuring, and optimizing event-based and trigger-driven interactions
- Designing, configuring, and optimizing segmentation and audience management
- Designing, configuring, and optimizing email, SMS, push notifications, and other outbound channels
- Implementing and optimizing consent, preference, and subscription management in line with GDPR and country-specific regulations
- Designing functional and technical solutions aligned with Sales, Customer Service, and external platforms
- Supporting and designing integrations between Customer Insights – Journeys and other enterprise systems, such as websites, data platforms, and external tooling
- Ensuring data quality, performance, and reusability of journey components
- Working in an agile delivery model and taking ownership of end-to-end outcomes
- Coordinating and aligning work across multiple projects and international stakeholders
- Providing guidance and functional leadership to other consultants and developers
- Creating clear documentation and supporting knowledge transfer and adoption
- Proactively advising on improvements, best practices, and roadmap decisions within the Customer Insights domain
Required experience and skills
- 7+ years of experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant and/or developer
- Strong, hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys (Real-Time Marketing)
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex customer journeys in enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of CRM data models and customer lifecycle management
- Proven experience working in IT environments and delivering solutions in close collaboration with IT teams, including architecture, security, integration, and operations
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, as well as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights (Journeys and/or Data)
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proactive, advisory mindset with the ability to work independently
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, Power Platform, or Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant
- Experience working in scaled agile setups, such as SAFe, and in complex, multi-country stakeholder landscapes
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related Microsoft technologies would be considered an advantage.
