Senior Project Manager – COO Change
Deliver strategic change across the COO domain, coordinating complex programmes and contribute to a future ready, efficient and compliant Rabobank. As a senior project manager within the COO domain, you drive COO organizational maturity & discipline.
As a Senior Project Manager within the department COO Change you are a pivotal part within COO Chief of Staff and you serve the wider COO-domain. You work closely with the Program Managers and Project Management Officers of the COO Change team and report to the Head of COO Change.

You & your role
As a Senior Project Manager within the team, you drive the execution of complex, cross‑functional and high‑risk change initiatives across the COO domain. You act as a key connector between strategy, governance and delivery, ensuring that transformation activities are aligned, well‑coordinated and executed in a controlled manner. You work closely with senior stakeholders and help navigate a fast‑evolving regulatory and organisational landscape.
You play a pivotal role in coordinating supervisory interactions on COO‑relevant topics, providing COO‑wide insights on Audit themes, and strengthening overall organisational maturity. As part of this, you also contribute to addressing several structural improvement areas, such as clarifying roles within the COO departments, establishing better cross‑domain insight and overview, and supporting the development of clear, measurable risk indicators.

•Facilitating senior steering committee decision making, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of cross‑domain risks;
•Driving benefits realisation for key regulatory change initiatives in line with portfolio priorities;
•Coaching programme managers and project management colleagues to strengthen delivery capability across complex transformations.

• Driving end‑to‑end delivery of strategic and regulatory change initiatives, ensuring clear alignment, controlled execution and consistent accountability across stakeholders;
• Coordinating cross‑domain planning, risk management and dependency resolution to maintain momentum and stability in complex transformation programmes;
• Representing the change function in key stakeholder interactions and supporting senior leadership by providing well‑founded insights, guidance and preparation for critical decisions;
• You translate strategy into execution by balancing governance, speed and impact, ensuring sustainable outcomes across multiple value chains.

You & your talent
•Academic degree with at least 8 years of experience in complex programme management within Financial Services;
•5+ years of leadership experience in cross‑functional, high‑stakes change environments;
•Proven experience with programme management frameworks and tools such as MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile at scale;
•Strong analytical capability to challenge and improve transformation approaches.

Additional information:
• All departments are working hybrid, in line with Rabobank @Anywhere policy;
• Due to congestion at the parking lot Rabobank location Croeselaan in Utrecht, a new parking policy will be introduced as of April 2026. From Monday through Thursday, external staff will no longer be able to park at the Croeselaan. Parking for external staff will remain permitted on Fridays only;
• Please note: midlance constructions are not allowed according to Rabobank policy. Do not offer candidates via this construction. This will be investigated during the screening;
• Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Rabobank’s Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale 11;
