Responsibilities & Tasks

The following main tasks are in the responsibility of the Mid-Senior Business Controller:

• Provide support to Nordics regional select site managers on cross-functional topics
• Deliver financial analysis, reporting, and actionable insights to support operational and tactical decision-making
• Contribute to core financial processes, including cost control, month-end closing, and year-end closing
• Lead and support business planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives
• Work with financial master data, requesting new objects and keeping the data up to date such as dashboard reports
• Support business case evaluation for certain activities and decisions
• Assist in supplier contract evaluations and provide financial input to commercial discussions
• Identify, assess, and communicate business risks and opportunities, including recommendations for mitigation or value creation
• Partner closely with stakeholders to enhance financial performance and support informed decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting quality, operational efficiency, and financial transparency
• Collaborate with the Record-to-Report function in the execution of audit-related activities and accounting processes
• Support ad hoc analysis and development of new or improved reports as needed

Your Essential Qualifications

Education/Qualification

• Bachelor degree (or similar experience based level) in a relevant field (i.e. controlling, economics, accounting or finance)
• Good knowledge of all Microsoft suite

Experience

• You have experience of 4+ years in a finance role including business partnering
• You have been preciously responsible for organizing and delivering planning and control cycles and performance management for business segments
• You have been a true business partner, steering the business and actively advising in key decisions
• You are able to problem-solve, find root causes and create stories out of financial data
• Previous SAP and PBI experience is beneficial
• Previous experience in Wind or Energy is beneficial

Skills, knowledge, strengths

• Excellent understanding of financials and KPIs
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing (fluency in English is a must)
• Pro-active mindset, showing the ability to problem solve and charter new ways of working
• Strong team player with an ability to both support and challenge stakeholders
• Ability to deliver through others and act as a role model

Location

This is a parental cover role for 1 year. This position is based in Kolding or Amsterdam and relocation assistance is not offered for this role.

Limited travel might be required to our site locations in Malmo and across Denmark as well as an occasional trip for team events.
