This project needs to be finished within 3 months, so we need someone who has done this before. Hands-on development experience within WCAG/EAA guidelines is a must have. Aura Salesforce experience is a very big nice to have, but if the candidate doesn't have any Aura knowledge please make sure the do selfstudies to improve.

Important:
• Candidates must work in The Hague for 2-3 days a week, remote not possible
• EAA/WCAG project experience is a must have!
• Salesforce development (Aura is a big pré and LWC) is a must have!
• Candidate must be available on short notice
• Do not propose a candidate if either experience of the must haves is lacking, they will be rejected instantly
• Freelance is allowed

We as bank like to comply to the EAA/WCAG standards. The portal should be changed to comply. The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is an EU directive that requires accessibility for people with disabilities across products and services such as e-commerce, banking, and digital content. The goal is to remove barriers and create uniform standards across the EU. Member states must comply by June 2025, following standards such as WCAG 2.1 and EN 301 549.

The job
As a Front-end Developer who has Salesforce skills, you play a key role in our effort to make our client interfaces accessible according to the European Accesibility Act (EAA) Standards. The main responsibility will be around the Client portal and the changes that would make it accessible to users with different abilities (e.g. keyboard users, screen readers, etc.). We work agile and count on all team members to take ownership of their work and quality of the delivery.

At the job you will be expected to:
• Ensure Salesforce Experience Cloud (Client portal) code comply WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
• Guide Salesforce Engineers in all EAA related matters
• Be a go to person for questions implementing accessible front-end
• Ensure that NIBC’s Savings portal is accessible according to four principles: operable, perceivable, understandable, and robust.
• Have proven knowledge with HTML and Salesforce Light Web Compontens
• Participate in all agile ceremonies (daily, refinement, retro, planning)
• Assignment duration: 2-3 months

• Fluency in English. Fluency in Dutch is a plus.

Your team
As a Developer, you are part of the Savings IT Team within the Retail IT department. This team is a multi-disciplinary team that develops, services and maintains applications for our Retail Bank Savings departments, with the prime focus on Salesforce. It is a cross-functional team that consists of people with different backgrounds, including business analysts, data engineers, functional application managers, and multiple Salesforce engineers. We work in a DevOps environment that helps our Retail Bank develop and maintain the applications that will support our customers in their decisive moments.

• The role can be closed earlier when we receive 20+ candidates
