The Infrastructure Engineer for the cleanroom (Ransomware Recovery) environment will be working within the Engineering & Enterprise Tech, Storage Services team, involved in supporting, designing, implementing, automating and testing IT infrastructure components and engineering applications.

Focus will be on the rapidly developing services for ransomware protection and recovery.
You will deliver and maintain a largely autonomous environment which in the event of a successful ransomware attack on the bank will allow the speedy recovery of multiple affected systems into ring fenced environments where they can be analysed, cleansed of any malware and rapidly recovered into the production environments.

Your area of responsibility will be to protect and recover both application data and infrastructure configuration data.
Cutting edge technology, security and extensive automation will be mainstream elements of your job.
The environment you build is the last resort for Rabobank systems in the event of a ransomware attack.

The nature of the clean room environment means you must be versatile and knowledgeable in multiple supporting technologies.

Required skills
• An experienced solution engineer with hands on experience of: Experience of large VMware environments;
• Understanding of networking Firewall/DNS/Networking;
• A Security mindset with knowledge of MFA, segmentation, authentication/authorisation etc;
• Azure Cloud expertise Understanding of backup and immutable technologies.

The key areas of responsibility are:
As an Infrastructure Engineer in the cleanroom (Ransomware Recovery) environment you are actively involved in infrastructural improvements and new developments in the field of Infrastructure security, recovery, and automation matters.
You take responsibility to support, develop and optimize security and recovery for our compute, converged, storage, backup and archive environments with 21,000 VM’s and nearly 20 PB of data across Europe and the Americas. These systems host thousands of applications and millions of customers.
You will be working in a multi-disciplinary and international team learning about multiple services within the department. You will be responsible for supporting the cleanroom environment on a day to day basis, this includes incident, problem and change management. Furthermore you are also responsible for ensuring the systems meet security standards.

You will be an experienced versatile T-shaped engineer working with a small group of experts, building out an existing ransomware recovery Clean Room, able to act as an autonomous boot-strap environment to rebuild components of the bank. Solutions will be practical, supportable and performant.
You will engineer and support the Clean Room. Technology will be relevant at scale and in smaller regional branches with their own IT. It is important you are focussed on delivering a working tangible solution, which can be enhanced and adapted over time.
A self-starter, you are part of a tight team where parts must work effectively together. You will bring a lot to the team immediately, but the scope of the role ensures that you will inevitably broaden your knowledge as you pick up new skills.

• Availability of service;
• Lifecycle management and resolution associated with vulnerability management within the Clean Room;
• Uptime.
