You and your job:
Data and AI are becoming the foundation of how we create value, deliver services, and make decisions. To accelerate this transformation, we are expanding our Data & Analytics architecture team with multiple Business Architects who can help design and implement the next generation of our enterprise data and AI capabilities.
We are looking for architects who combine business understanding with deep knowledge of data, AI, and analytics—and who enjoy turning complexity into clarity.
Your impact:
As a Business Architect in our Data & Analytics domain, you will:
• Define the target architectures for your area of expertise in cooperation and alignment with domain architects and enterprise architects
• Guide teams in adopting enterprise standards and modern technology, defining and applying (standardised) architecture patterns.
• Lead and steer as part of the area leadership team and support product delivery with a strong architecture vision and roadmap
• Ensure our data and AI products are scalable, compliant, and delivering real business value

We are strengthening several areas and will shape the exact role based on your expertise and ambitions. You can make impact in one or more of the following specializations:
• AI-ready data and data product automation
• Focusing on the automation of data product creation, transforming unstructured data to AI-ready data, and moving from dataset provisioning to modern API-based and streaming patterns.
Data as a product:
Applying product thinking to data products, simplifying and standardizing how we access, share, and manage data. Ensuring data is trusted, discoverable and easy to use, and translating this to concrete enterprise-level implementation standards.
Advanced analytics products:
Focusing on reusable analytics solutions, such as machine learning models and (generative) AI solutions. This area contains strong technology components, such as knowledge graphs to enable entity resolution and to ground AI agents, but it also requires deep understanding on how AI can transform business processes and how we can govern AI to scale the technology in a responsible way.
Depending on your expertise and strength, you will take up the role of area architect in the area with the best fit. You will coach and guide the solution architects within the area, with whom you align the area vision, realize the architecture strategy & roadmaps, and contribute to our purpose. You need to have the courage to challenge and develop yourself even when you and your team make a mistake. The important part is that you (and your team) learn from that and grow.
With your experience, insights, and skills, you will provide a great contribution to our business users; enabling them unlock value from data faster and better.
Practical examples:
• Create and communicate an architecture vision on data products for AI-ready data, aligning with business stakeholders, architects and the Chapter Global Data Management
• Collaborate with business architects across the bank to shape a future-proof data and AI platform
• Mentor and coach a team of solution architects within your area

With you, the D&A architecture team will consist of approximately 10 people. Together we set the direction for the capabilities of the Global Data & Analytics Platform and the Data & Analytics Products & Transformation Tribes. We work closely with the Solution Architects from Tech4D&A. We collectively believe that architecture should be owned by the teams and we actively work towards this goal. We do this in an open, inclusive and informal culture where everyone can be themselves and is appreciated for who they are.
You and your talent:

• Minimum 7 years working experience in relevant roles of which a minimum of 3 years of enterprise/business architecture experience in a complex data & analytics environment;
• Strong architecture vision on and experience in at least one of the specialization areas;
• You think in strategy, capabilities, and value streams first—ensuring the business ‘what and why’ precedes the technical ‘how’;
• Ability to communicate technical solutions in a clear manner and link technology drivers to business goals;
• Can influence and persuade others with an open mindset;
• You have a helicopter view: overseeing a wide domain, understanding the implications of architecture decisions on business and IT;
• A proven ability to engage and influence both business and IT leadership, adapting communication style and level of detail to suit C‑level executives, product teams, and fellow architects;
• You are comfortable in a leading role and can provide direction, coaching and guidance to a team of solution architects;
• Experience in a complex global and multi-business line environment is a pre.
