We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Cyber Recovery team. This role is pivotal in automating infrastructure deployment, ensuring configuration and security compliance, and streamlining operational processes in a secure and resilient environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement automated infrastructure deployment using tools like Ansible, Packer, and Cloud-init;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, integrating with Azure Git repositories;
• Automate configuration management and enforce compliance standards across environments;
• Write and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts for automation and orchestration tasks;
• Integrate and consume REST APIs for infrastructure and service automation;
• Collaborate with security and recovery teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with cyber recovery and resilience best practices;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployment workflows and system performance;
• Document processes, configurations, and design decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on automation and infrastructure-as-code;
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Ansible for configuration management;
• Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure Git;
• PowerShell and Bash scripting;
• REST API integration and automation;
• Packer and Cloud-init for image creation and initialization;
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure;
• Familiarity with on-premises infrastructure based on VMware vSphere or VMware VCF is a strong plus;
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security best practices in DevOps environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ansible certifications (e.g., EX374, EX467, RH294).

Overview of the position
Focus will be on the rapidly developing services for ransomware protection and recovery. You will deliver and maintain a largely autonomous environment which in the event of a successful ransomware attack on the bank will allow the speedy recovery of multiple affected systems into ring fenced environments where they can be analysed, cleansed of any malware and rapidly recovered into the production environments.
Your area of responsibility will be to protect and recover both application data and infrastructure configuration data. Cutting edge technology, security and extensive automation will be mainstream elements of your job.

The environment you build is the last resort for Rabobank systems in the event of a ransomware attack. The nature of the clean room environment means you must be versatile and knowledgeable in multiple supporting technologies

You take responsibility to support, develop and optimize security and recovery for our compute, converged, storage, backup and archive environments with 21,000 VM’s and nearly 20 PB of data across Europe and the Americas. These systems host thousands of applications and millions of customers. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary and international team learning about multiple services within the department.
