Within the External Reporting Tribe, work is underway to modernize external and regulatory reporting. In this context, there is a need for an independently operating specialist who, on a project basis, identifies, develops, and delivers AI applications to improve reporting processes.
The assignment focuses on achieving concrete, demonstrable improvements in the areas of efficiency, quality, and control through the use of AI.

Assignment, deliverables and timelines
The contractor carries out the assignment independently and at their own discretion, without direction regarding the substantive execution. The client defines the desired outcome; the contractor determines the method of execution.
The assignment concerns a temporary, clearly defined project and does not form part of the regular line organization.

AI Use Case Portfolio
• Identification and development of at least 40 concrete AI use cases within Financial Reporting;
• Including business case, risk analysis, and implementation approach;
Working Solutions / Prototypes
• Coördinating of at least 40 validated AI solutions or pilots;
• Including documentation and handover;
Improvement Plan for Agile/Reporting Processes
• A concrete advisory document with recommendations for optimizing reporting and agile processes using AI;
• Including impact analysis and implementation steps;
Knowledge Transfer
• Documentation and handover materials enabling internal teams to continue independently.

Specific skills
• Demonstrable experience with AI/analytics applications in complex environments;
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting within Rabobank;
• Experience with implementing AI use cases;
• Ability to work independently and in a results-oriented manner.

Independence and Execution
The contractor:
o independently determines the approach, planning, and way of working;
o selects their own tools and methodologies within the bank’s security framework;
o performs the work without hierarchical supervision;
• Alignment takes place at the level of results, not on day-to-day activities;
• Participation in internal meetings occurs only insofar as necessary for the assignment.

Relationship to the Organization
The contractor:
o is not part of the organization;
o does not fulfill a line function or structural role;
o does not manage employees;
• The activities are complementary and specialized in nature and are not structurally carried out by internal employees.

Entrepreneurship and Risk
The contractor operates as an independent entrepreneur:
o bears responsibility for execution and quality;
o remedies their own work in case of deficiencies;
o uses their own expertise and (where possible) resources.

Additional information:
• All departments are working hybrid, in terms of Rabobank @anywhere policy;
• Due to the congestion at the parking lot Rabobank location Croeselaan in Utrecht, a new parking policy will be introduced as of April 2026. From Monday through Thursday, external staff will no longer be able to park at the Croeselaan. Parking for external staff will remain permitted on Fridays only;
• ⁠Please note: midlance constructions are not allowed according to Rabobank policy. Do not offer candidates via this construction. This will be investigated during the screening;
