Where Will You Work?
Within TenneT’s Business Technology Organization the department BT Office is responsible for security & risk management, enterprise architecture, portfolio management, program management, strategy & transformation and process management. The team Strategy & Transformation is responsible for delivering strategic change by initiating and managing large transformation programs (e.g. ERP, Control room of the future, Cloud) and BTO’s strategic themes. For this team we are looking for a strategic advisor to strengthen the team. The IT Strategic Business Consultant reports to the lead Strategy & Transformation.

Role description:
As an IT strategic Business Consultant, your primary role is to provide expert guidance and counsel to senior management and IT leadership on strategic matters related to digital technology. You will leverage your deep understanding of IT trends, industry best practices, and business strategy to develop actionable recommendations that align digital initiatives with organizational objectives and drive long-term success.

Tasks:
• Define and refine digital strategies
• Develop and maintain a clear roadmap for digital initiatives aligned with company goals and KPIs.
• Guide and support stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of strategic priorities.
• Provide clear updates and insights to leadership on progress and outcomes

Candidate profile?
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in IT strategy, consulting, or advisory roles.
• Deep understanding of IT trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Eagerness & energy to drive strategic developments forward within TenneT – passion and belief are essential – you build energy and optimism in others for the organisation’s vision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Established track record in navigating complex organizational structures, influencing decision-making, and fostering consensus across varied groups

Important:
• Excellent in English is a must, Dutch is a big preference.
• We are looking for a candidate how has an consultancy mindset, as it is necessary to translate strategies into clear executable roadmaps, objectives and key results

Practical information:
• VOG must be received before a candidate can start;
• Upon commencement of employment, a Pre Employment Screening (PES) is carried out as standard;
• Location: 2 and/or 3 day onsite in Arnhem, the rest is hybrid.
• Self-employed, is a possibility but in case of equality, the client prefers a candidate how is on the payroll.
• Option to extend is available yes;
• Interviews: 1 round, maximum 2; on short notice.

• Suppliers of candidates should be aware of the applicable laws and regulations in the field of employment conditions and the (TenneT) collective labor agreement. This commitment falls within scale 9 of the TenneT collective labor agreement;

Screening:
• Pre-employment screening: If the candidate is allowed to start with the client, a pre-employment screening will take place. We will then send you the necessary documents. Your candidate may only start after completing the pre-employment screening. The VOG application is part of the screening from , the VOG must be received before the candidate can start;
• The candidate has proof of identity (a passport or identity card), which is valid at intake and on the start date of the candidate's contract and can be submitted for verification.
