Senior Legal Counsel – Financial Markets (ISDA)
1 year assignment – Rabobank Utrecht

Your role
As Senior Legal Counsel in Legal, Wholesale & Rural, Financial Markets, Products & Regulations (FMPR) team, you help manage legal and reputational risks by providing clear, high quality legal support. You will work on a dedicated project for Markets / Corporate Risk & Treasury Management Europe (CRTM), and where relevant support other regions such as Australia.
You focus will be on negotiating loan linked ISDA documentation, hedging provisions in loan documentation, and (where required) generic ISDA negotiations. You take ownership, work proactively, and contribute to improving our ways of working together with CRTM, Legal and other stakeholders.

What you will do
• Work full time (36 hours a week) within Legal FMPR while fully dedicated to the CRTM project;
• Join international, collaborative and energetic teams in both Legal and CRTM;
• Handle varied and complex work where each day is different;
• Partner closely with colleagues in Legal, CRTM and Risk;
• Contribute to process improvements and a consistent way of working;
This assignment is for 36 hours per week, for one year, based at Rabobank Head Office in Utrecht.

Your profile
You are an experienced Legal Counsel with:
• A Master of Laws and qualification in Dutch or English law;
• Demonstrated experience negotiating ISDA documentation;
• At least 10 years work experience in the legal financial markets area;
• Strong English language skills; Dutch is a plus;
• A proactive, flexible and collaborative mindset;
We would like to receive a motivation showing the required competencies.

Additional information:
• All departments are working hybrid, in terms of Rabobank @anywhere policy;
• Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Rabobank’s Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale 11;
• We would like to receive the personal motivation of the candidate and CV in English;
• Due to changing laws and regulations, this assignment is NOT suitable for the deployment of a self-employed professional. Naturally, we are happy to answer any questions;
• A candidate should be submitted exclusively to – Rabobank during the exclusivity period of 4 business days on one request;
• Furthermore, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment;
