As a Risk Advisor , you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and monitoring enterprise risks while providing expert advice to support decision-making on a corporate level. You will be part of the Risk & Internal Control team and report to the Manager Risk & Internal Control.

About Risk & Internal Control (ARN-RC)
The Risk & Internal Control team within the Unit Audit, Risk, and Compliance (ARN-RC) plays a crucial role in the strategic and operational steering of TenneT. To support TenneT’s mission, the team provides a comprehensive and systematic approach to identifying, assessing, managing, and monitoring all risks - strategic, operational, financial, and compliance—that could
affect TenneT’s objectives. This integrated approach strengthens decision-making, safeguards business continuity, and ensures regulatory compliance, while promoting accountability, transparency, and resilience across the organization.

Your Responsibilities:
• Act as a trusted advisor by advising and recommending stakeholders and risk coordinators in identifying, analyzing, and monitoring strategic, financial, operational, compliance, and sustainability risks;
• Ensure that TenneT’s enterprise risk management framework is maintained and further developed;
• Translate and apply risk policies and frameworks to divisional and unit contexts;
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on risk mitigation measures;
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels;
• Organize workshops, training sessions, and presentations on risk management;
• Support in drafting risk reports and contribute to external publications.

Your Profile
• Academic degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field or HBO+ with relevant working experience ;
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in risk management, specifically in risk management on a corporate level;
• Excellent analytical, communication, reporting, and presentation skills;
• Ability to work independently, take initiative collaborate in a team
• Strong persuasive and stakeholder management skills;
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Important Context
Focus is on improving predictability through risk management and probabilistic analysis
Candidates must have hands-on project risk experience in infrastructure sectors (e.g., contractors, engineering firms, public works organizations).

Practical Information
• Location: Arnhem (approx. 2 days/week) on Monday and/or Tuesday, otherwise hybrid
• Working hours: 32-40 hours per week (flexible)
• Maximum 2 interview rounds

• The assignment falls within a TenneT Functional Contract Hay 18

Screening:
A pre-employment screening is mandatory. The VOG and UVO is part of this process and must be completed before the candidate’s start date. A valid ID (passport or identity card) must be presented during intake and at the start of the assignment.
