About the roleFor the Industrialisation & AIT department, we are looking for a Work Preparer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that production and integration activities are prepared, planned, and executed efficiently.
You play a key role in coordinating resources, materials, documentation, and work instructions to ensure projects can start and progress according to schedule. In addition, you contribute to process optimization and support digital improvement initiatives within the department.
You will report hierarchically to the Head of AIT or Head of Production and work operationally with AIT Managers and Team Leaders.
Your role & responsibilitiesAs Work Preparer, you will:
- Create and maintain integrated production and project planning
- Monitor work sequences, lead times, resource allocation, and facility usage
- Adjust planning when changes occur and align impact with relevant stakeholders
- Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in planning and operational processes
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Initiate the availability of required materials, tools, equipment, and resources
- Process inventory transfers toward project requirements within the MRP system
- Create purchase requests upon operational demand
- Monitor and maintain KPI reporting
- Perform second-line troubleshooting for machines and tools where required
- Review technical drawings and documentation
- Prepare work instructions and procedures for assembly and testing activities
- Create complete work packages and manage project completion documentation
- Prepare logistics and shipping-related documentation when needed
You are highly organized, technically minded, and able to maintain overview in a dynamic production environment. You enjoy coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence.
You bring:
- HBO+ working and thinking level
- Experience in work preparation, production planning, manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical support role
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive attitude and ownership mentality
- Experience with SAP
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
- Fluency in English (required); Dutch is a plus
